Abstract

The changes taking place in the Russian economy due to Western sanctions have led to an increased imbalance in the Russian labor market. Expansion of production volumes and simultaneous outflow of Russian professionals abroad, unstable demographic situation in the country contributed to the shortage of personnel in various sectors of the economy. To saturate the domestic labor market with high-quality labor, Russia is ready to attract foreign highly qualified specialists. In the article, based on the analysis of statistical data, it was possible to reveal that in modern conditions, in the total flow of migrant workers arriving in Russia, most of them are represented by low-skilled labor and only a small proportion are qualified and highly qualified specialists arriving mainly from CIS countries. Key problems have been identified and solutions have been proposed.
