Abstract

The prolonged military confl ict in the Republic of Yemen has led to the catastrophic deterioration of the country’s oil and gas complex, which for decades has been the leading sector of the economy. The country is rich in hydrocarbons and has the potential to regain its place among the Persian Gulf’s oil-producing countries, but this has been hampered by numerous economic and political factors. The article provides an analysis of Yemen’s current situation and prospects for oil and gas production
