Author Guidelines

Requirements for the design of scientific articles submitted for publication in the scientific journal "Economic Systems"

Original (previously unpublished in other printed or electronic publications) scientific articles are accepted for publication in the journal.

The uniqueness of the text according to the «Anti-Plagiarism» system must be at least 80%.

The editorial board reserves the right to make editorial and proofreading changes to the author's texts of articles.

The manuscripts of scientific articles are subject to mandatory peer review.

In case of rejection of the article, the editorial board sends the corresponding notification to the author.

The article should contain (in accordance with the requirements of the Higher Attestation Commission):

  • information about the author(s) (in Russian and English); specify the author responsible for the correspondence;
  • UDC index;
  • type of article (scientific, discussion, review);
  • title of the article (in Russian and English);
  • keywords (4–15 words, in Russian and English);
  • abstract (up to 250 words, in Russian and English) containing the purpose, objectives, main provisions, and results of the study;
  • if available, thanks for the help in preparing the article, information about grants, projects, research works, within the framework or based on the results of which the article was published, information about financing (in Russian and English);
  • structured text of the article;
  • List of sources (in Russian and English).

Information about the author(s):

  • last name, first name, patronymic in full; in Latin, the first and last name of the author(s) are given in full; the patronymic is shortened to one letter;
  • the name of the organization where the author(s) works or studies (without indicating the organizational and legal form of the legal entity), position, address of the organization, city and country;
  • academic degree, academic title, name and code of scientific specialty (according to nomenclature);
  • department, educational institution (for undergraduates, postgraduates, doctoral students, applicants, university professors), training area (for undergraduates);
  • Open Researcher and Contributor ID –ORCID), other international identification numbers of the author(s) (if available);
  • email address, phone number.

Requirements for the structure and content of a scientific article:

  • the article should be structured and have the following sections:

1) introduction (reveals the relevance and study of the problem, scientific novelty, goals and objectives of the research, its theoretical and practical significance);

2) the main part (through analysis and synthesis, the problems under study are revealed, ways to solve them, the results obtained are substantiated, and their reliability):

- methodology (describes the sequence of the study, justifies the choice of the studied methods);

- results (they occupy the main place in the article in terms of volume). By generalizing and analyzing the data, a working hypothesis on the problem is proved. The previously published research materials of other scientists on the topic under consideration are analyzed (this analysis is the theoretical core of the research). Based on the analysis, patterns are identified, the author's view, approach, and concept are formulated. The results of the study are presented briefly, but contain enough information to form conclusions and substantiate recommendations (using tables, graphs, and figures). The text provides links to previous research on the problem under consideration;

3) conclusion (summary of the results of the study, conclusions based on the results of the study, sound recommendations, as well as the main directions for further research);

  • the text of the article is typed in the MS Word editor (versions not lower than 2007);
  • the page format is A4;
  • The pages are numbered and formatted;
  • margins: left – 30 mm, right – 15 mm, top and bottom – at least 20 mm, width alignment;
  • Times New Roman font, size 14 (in tables and footnotes – size 12);
  • line spacing – 1.5 cm; paragraph indentation – 1.25 cm;
  • the minimum volume for a scientific article is 10 pages; the maximum is 24 pages;
  • texts, tables, figures should not be scanned or copied from a computer screen;
  • tables and figures are made in black and white, numbered in the order they are mentioned in the text, have a name and an indication of the source. The text in them should be easy to read, and the details should be clearly distinguishable;
  • The figures should be attached to the electronic version of the article in separate files in tif, jpg, png, gif, 300 dpi (300 dots) formats.

List of sources:

  • the list of sources includes only those resources that are mentioned or quoted in the main text of the article;
  • In the text, references to sources should be placed in square brackets. If the link is to a printed source, the pages referred to by the author are indicated after the source number (for example, [1, pp. 112–124], [2, p. 37; 3, p. 118]);
  • the list of sources in Russian (the list of sources) is drawn up in accordance with GOST R 7.0.5-2008. The sources are numbered and arranged in the order of their citation in the text of the article. Online sources are provided with a full indication of the electronic address (URL) and the date of the request;
  • the list of Latin sources (References) is drawn up according to the Vancouver Style in accordance with GOST R 7.0.7-2021 (Appendix A).

The name of the journal is given twice: with transliteration and in English. A "=" sign is placed between them.

  • It is recommended to use at least 15 sources in the article. Self–citation - no more than 15%.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The manuscripts are accepted if has not been published or submitted for publication elsewhere.

  2. The materials should be prepared in a format OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or World Perfect.

  3. Internet links are provided as a complete URL. 

  4. Text should be typed with an interval of one and a half line spacing, font Times New Roman, 14 pt; to highlight the accents it is recommended to use italics rather than underlining (except Internet links). All images, graphics and tables are placed within the text according to the meaning of the particular part of text  (and not at the end of the document).

  5. Text should follow the stylistic and bibliography requirements as stated in  Regulations  located in the Part "About Us." 

  6. Please, remove the authors' names from the title of the article and other parts of the document to ensure the  anonymity of reviewing.

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

Privacy Statement

Specified when registering the names and addresses will be used solely for technical purposes of a contact with the Author or reviewers (editors) when preparing the article for publication. Private data will not be shared with other individuals and organizations.
