Abstract

This article examines the organization and management of project teams to analyze possible methods for creating a competitive business product. It also analyzes the interactions within a creative business group during commercial product development to identify an effective team role structure. Quantitative characteristics of role distribution in student startups are examined, taking into account the individual profiles of team members. The results of an empirical study (social experiment) examining the influence of team roles on team performance during the preparation of a final thesis in a startup format are presented. R. Belbin’s theory of a balanced team profile as a prerequisite for startup project success is confirmed.
