Abstract
The road infrastructure of each metropolis poses a difficult task for city authorities – the creation of an effective management system that will reflect safety, comfort, environmental friendliness and, of course, security. Management of the road infrastructure of a modern metropolis requires the development and implementation of technological innovations, including the use of artificial intelligence tools that help cope with the ever-growing challenges in the field of transport infrastructure. The article summarizes the analysis of information on issues of providing road infrastructure in a modern metropolis. The obtained results allowed us to identify and substantiate the key problems of the process under study: an increase in the number of personal vehicles, an increase in traffic flows, environmental pollution, accidents, the use of digital technologies, the development of public transport taking into account the construction of intelligent traffic and an increase in dedicated lanes, etc. The author's assumption that modern road management is a multi-tasking and multi-level process that should take into account all trends in the development of megacities, modeling and scaling of transport situations taking into account the use of strategies to improve road safety and modeling processes of environmentally beneficial conditions for both the state and for users of the final product was confirmed by the analysis of management approaches and tools for improving the quality of the road infrastructure of the city of Moscow.
