The impact of digitalization mechanisms and tools on the level of the shadow economy in the regions

Abstract

Objectives of the work. To study the impact of digitalization on the level of the shadow economy in the regions. Identify the factors that affect the level of the shadow economy in the context of digitalization. Develop recommendations on the use of digital technologies to reduce the level of the shadow economy in the regions.

The method or methodology of the work. The study was conducted using a general scientific methodology that provides for the use of systematic approaches to solving the problem. The basis for writing this scientific article was the fundamental works of Russian and foreign scientists who devoted their work to studying the impact of digitalization on the level of the shadow economy in regions and sectors.

Results. The study provides a methodological basis for taking appropriate measures to combat the shadow economy in the context of digitalization. In addition, the results of the study can be used to develop new business models that will reduce the degree of involvement of the economy in the shadow sector. The scope of the results. The study of the impact of digitalization mechanisms and tools on the level of the shadow economy in the regions can be of great importance for the development of a research base on this topic. The results of the study can be used as a starting point for further research in the field of the shadow economy and digitalization of regional economies.

Novelty. The scientific novelty of the study is the study of the relationship between digitalization and the shadow economy in the regions. Conclusions. It is important to develop a unified federal standard on digitalization of regional economies aimed at combating shadow processes in order to replicate it to the regions through rapid integration with clear regulations and description of methodologies and processes. To make it easier for regions, especially those that are less technologically advanced and have certain personnel and resource constraints, to integrate these tools and mechanisms of digitalization into their work.
