Problems and opportunities of using social networks to improve the effectiveness of the educational process

The article discusses issues reflecting the role of information technology and social networks in the educational process. Significant advantages of using information technologies and social technologies in conducting all types of classes in comparison with traditional methods are noted. The directions necessary for further research of information technologies and social networks in the educational process are considered.
