Also, such problems can be solved in order to justify as efficiently as possible the amounts that may be requested, for example, by a bank, when issuing a loan secured by the property being valued. Also, the data obtained during such an assessment can be used to find and justify the need to carry out operations within, for example, an additional issue of shares, to calculate the amount of future and present tax payments, etc.

Abstract

The emergence of carbon regulation instruments and the high carbon intensity of oil and gas companies leads to the need to implement projects aimed at reducing the carbon footprint, which is an integral part of the enterprise’s sustainable development strategy.
Already at the stage of pre-investment assessment, there is a need to take into account the decarbonization factor: its impact on the effectiveness of decisions and on the future economic activities of the enterprise.
To correctly make investment decisions in the context of decarbonization, adapted methodological approaches must be taken into account in terms of a set of indicators for ranking projects.
Purpose of the article. Propose methods for selecting investment decisions of oil and gas companies in the context of decarbonization.
Tasks. Consider the place of investment planning in the mechanism of sustainable development of an enterprise. Propose a model for choosing a decarbonization option when assessing an aggregated investment project.
Results. The article proposes an interpretation of the concept of «sustainable development mechanism» and a decomposition of its main elements. In particular, the place of investment planning has been determined.
An economic and mathematical model is proposed that allows you to choose a decarbonization option and is a method of mathematical optimization with a number of discrete criteria calculated within the framework of the financial and economic model of the investment project.
